Portrait and figurative works are definitely a source of interest and continued study as an artist. Trying to capture the human souls is not a small task!
There is something about antique and old cars that truly fascinates me. It seems that they have a personality and a life of their own!
I love painting or drawing still life! Creating my own composition and painting objects that represent something to me in the environment that I purposely place, make me feels I can create something unique and valuable that hopefully translate into a story to the viewer.
There are places that touched me and had an emotional impact in my life!
I spent many hours outdoors even in cold or hot weather and during my travels trying to capture wildlife photos. Few selected photos become eventually source of inspirations in my home studio. Watching wildlife in nature makes me feel integral part of LIFE. An experience and feeling that is very meaningful to me.
I love to choose a limited palette and create some expressive works once in a while! Exploration and curiosity are in my nature!
I had shoulder Surgery in early May 2024. I didn't want to give up on my artwork, so I started to learn to paint/draw with my non dominant hand. It been a very eye-opening experience as an artist. Very challenging at times but it showed me a new way of seeing. Painting or drawing with more feelings, less warried about details especially because I was forced to think that way, but IT CHANGED me. Change is good and I am trying it to embrace that way of painting with my non dominant hand.
I draw every week from life as much as possible or from my own reference photos. Love to draw in different ways, gestural drawings, realistic drawing etc. I consider ALL part of the growing process.
I love to experiment with different mediums, textures and anything I can throw on the canvas! It takes courage to open up to creativity and to paint or draw by instinct. Is part of my growth as artist.
